There are ten fundamental principles of effective visual design – though we believe that contrast is the most significant since it leads to the other nine which are listed below:
Repetition, Rhthym, Movement, Balance, Proportion, White Space, Emphasis, Hierarchy, Variety and of course Contrast.
But knowing the ten principles is not the only prerequisite for a project's success. It is essential
to first comprehend your audience and their
needs before you can produce a visual piece that successfully balances form and function. By correctly applying the “KISS” concept to the design elements of color, typography, and consistency a project may be successful. (Keep it Simple, Stupid)
